Sunnysmiles at St Marys offer Breakfast Club (7:45am - 8:50am) and After School Club Sessions (3:15pm - 6pm).

Children can be dropped off to Breakfast Club anytime form 7.45am to 8.25am and collected form After School Club anytime until 6pm.

At Sunnysmiles we create a warm, welcoming environment ensuring that children feel safe, happy and confident while in our care.

Children can be booked in from 1 to 5 days per week, when you are offered a place we will give you an application pack to complete and return within a week the place is then permanent, we ask for two weeks’ notice if you wish to give up your space. The clubs do get very busy, and we operate a waiting list, please ensure you book only by contacting Sunnysmiles directly.

We build trusting relationships with our families and work closely with parents and carers to fully understand and meet each Childs individual needs.

We plan for and encourage children to play independently with a range of self-selection activities alongside skilled practitioners following and extending their interests through play, while underpinning the knowledge of the play work principles and British Values. We enjoy learning and taking part in different celebrations and festivals and have themed sessions, parties and planned activities to build and support our knowledge.

We make sure that all reasonable adjustments are made as needed to offer a fully inclusive and diverse environment for all. We have a staff member trained in Special Educational Needs and Disability on site at each session to support children and families as needed.

We understand the importance of ensuring children have a varied and healthy balanced diet and how a good nutritious filling breakfast is so valuable to start the school day. We offer cereal [non sugar or chocolate coated], yoghurts, fromage frais, a choice of bread products, fresh fruit and milk or water to drink. After school club follows a termly menu on a two-week rotation, the menu is up on the parent board and includes fresh fruit and vegetables every day. We always consider children with food allergies and preferences and the children are involved with the planning of the menus. Water is available throughout every session.

We work closely with the school and if your child is booked in with Sunnysmiles we collect from extra-curricular clubs that the school offer. Children are given a cold snack on arrival form club such as sandwiches, crackers, wraps and fruit.
